Scientific name for plants that aren’t killed during harvest?
I was in one of those long thought processes that you get when you’re about to fall asleep, and somehow I got onto the subject of plants, and then that turned into this question. Is there a ‘name’ for plants that aren’t actually killed when they’re harvested? By that I mean something like an apple tree as opposed to something like corn, where as the tree remains intact, but the corn stalk is essentially ‘killed’ in the process of harvesting. Thanks in advance for satisfying my overly curious brain

Mangifera indica mango fruits are harvested but the plant remains intact.
