Can you put a artificial pre-lite FLOCKED Christmas tree outside?

I bought this artificial pre-lite flocked christmas tree yesterday at a really low low price at a clearance section of a store and was told I could put it outside. My question is has anybody ever done this? We usually get some really good rain storms in early December and I was just wondering if the flocking will hold up in rain or were they just telling me this to make a sale? I would apprciate any help from anyone who has used flocked trees. Please no opinions just actual facts. Thanks.
It doesn’t say anywhere on the directions wheather or not I can use it outside.

In previous years I’ve had flocked Christmas trees and only left them outside once. During that whole tim the weather was pretty good and it was fine.
But one night there was a storm and the tree got a bit battered. Basically, by all means put it outside – but if you suspect a really big storm coming then take it inside!
