80′s Xmas Cartoon on CBC. Might be “O Christmas Tree”. Guy goes 2 space for tree star?

This was on CBC when I was a kid . I think it was in black and white sketch kind of animation and was canadaian made. The man wanted a star for his tree and saw one in the sky. He kept building this big ladder up to space to get it and eventually loses his temper i think. I thought it was called “O Christmas Tree” but no internet search helped me. Can any of you? I hope so ,I loved this cartoon.
