What size containers should I plant dwarf fruit trees in?
I’ve got a few dwarf fruit trees. I have two dwarf apple trees that should grow no bigger then 4-5 ft, and one cherry tree that will reach about the same height. Right now I have the apple trees in 20 gallon utility totes and the cherry tree is in a container that is much too small (4 gallons). What size containers would these trees do best in? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks
I don’t want to plant them in the ground because I live in an apartment. I also would like to take the trees with me when I eventually move.
Why not just go ahead and plant them in the ground. They would do much better. Even a small tree has a pretty large root system, and will probably outgrow any container.
