What is a good evergreen shrub (preferably 3-4 ‘ tall) to plant in front of my house?

I need ideas for an evergreen shrub to plant in front of my house. I would like something that has flowers or some color. One woman I spoke to recommended the Valley Rose Pieris Japonica. Does anyone have one of those and can tell me how tall they get? Do they require a lot of pruning to keep them at a shorter height? Is the Mountain Fire Pieris Japonica too tall for what I’m looking for? I’m open to suggestions. THANKS!!!

I have a few Pieris Japonica’s I keep to 5 ft and 4 ft I just top them when they get too tall. they are hardy and can handle good chop backs no problem. nice flowers too. you could also go with a smaller dwarf style rhododendron I have a 4 ft tall one its been 10 years its not getting any taller. just wider.
