Identify this evergreen shrub?
I have large evergreen shrubs overgrowing the front of my house. They are in pretty poor shape and need to be trimmed. Can anyone help me identify what type of shrub this is from the photos below? Also, would it be possible to trim these back this time of year? I’m in Tennessee, so the temps range anywhere from 10-50 degrees right now.

Thanks in advance!
You’ve got arborvidae globe shrub. They are beautiful! They can be trimmed whenever it is convenient for you, but spring or fall is best for trimming and pruning because plants recover easier without stress from extreme temperatures and dormancy cycles.
