Help! I need privacy!!!?
Im looking for info on adding privacy to my side yard. Its about 30 ft from the house next door. I want to add privacy to block the road. I have been looking up different types of shrubs, but im not sure which would be best. I need something that will grow fast, or a type of fencing-both ways i need it cheap. I live in illinois so when its cold its real cold, and it gets real hot here too. Any info on adding privacy would help!!
I would plant Ligustrum. There are quite a few different types. Ours grows at least 3 feet a year. Some are evergreen, others not. Ours easily tolerate temps from 25 to 100 degrees. One other thing, unlike some of the other plants, the birds spend a lot of time in them so they will not be full of spiders and webs. Here is a site where you can check out the different varieties.
