Fast growing, big tree to block road?
I live in Florida and I am looking for a tree/shrub that will grow fast and big and help block the noise/eye-sore of traffic…
My yard is about 30 feet across and I’d kinda like to do like three or maybe four rows, checkered to block the road….so also something relatively cheap to buy….

I live in a big highway….I kind of want to establish a forest like environment….

Do you know the willows that grow along side the road all over our state? If you take cuttings, they root quickly and easily. They’re greening up now, don’t get anything bigger around than your pinky (smaller is better) and 2, 21/2 feet long. They will root in water. You can get the cuttings you need along side most of the county roads, don’t get snake bit wading in deep water…
I’ve taken cuttings for years. If you don’t, the county will just come along and spray toxic waste to kill the willows and pollute the water.
Once you’ve got your fast growing trees in, plant slower growing, substantial trees among them. Coastal pignut hickory (very hardy), hickory, pecans, walnuts, oaks, etc.
