CARE OF viburnum sandankwa?

1) is new growth supposed to be wrinkled looking?
2) what’s up with the brown spots? And how do I get rid of them?
3) I was told that I am never supposed to water them? is this true, or should I water 1x/wk normally and 2x/wk when going through dry spells.
4) how fast do these shrubs grow.

Thanks very much, in advance.

Keithy needs to learn how to garden!
P.S. I live in Central Florida–Cocoa to be exact. Weather is awfully warm here. And we have been in drought conditions for the past two years. Also, the shrubs were newly planted 18 months ago when we moved into a newly built house (can’t really speak to the quality of the loom the shrubs were planted in).

1) Yes, new growth may be wrinkled.
2) Brown spots are probably a fungal or bacterial leaf spot.
3) Water when normal rainfall does not provide the preferred 1 inch of moisture most plants prefer. Average water is needed during the growing season, but take care not to overwater. The first two years after a plant is installed, regular watering is important. The first year is critical. It is better to water once a week and water deeply, than to water frequently for a few minutes.
4) These are fairly fast growing shrubs once established.

Arrowwood (Viburnum dentatum) – Low Flammability shrub.
