Tree fertilizer and vegetable plants?
Oh No! I accidentally mixed tree and shrub fertilizer in with my garden! Will this hurt my plants?
The fertilizer was small pellets that are added into the soil.
No the wrong mixture should not harm your plants. It is a different mixture from the tree fertilizer because of the percentages listed as for example 5-10-5.
That stands for Nitrogen-Phosphorous-Potassium.
Trees may want a different percentage of these three but it won’t harm them. People even have tree fertilizer and no plant fertilizer and just use tree fertilizer on them instead of purchasing the right type. I would not repeat this if possible.
