Gardeners, please help!?

Hi, I am getting my garden ready for planting, and I’m trying to find a fairly tall (average really), purple flower that likes shade. For that matter any plant that is nice looking and can take some shade, the area is under a tree and some shrubs, it’s not complete shade, but shady enough if you know what I mean. Anyway, if you have any ideas please let me know! I’ve been looking everywhere! I am also on the cusp of zones 6 and 7.

Coneflowers can take some shade, grow about 20-30 inches tall. They come in purples primarily and other colors now that they are on the plant to have list. An annual you might wanna try that also can grow to a good height and bush out would be a coleus. They come in a variety of colors also, some short, some tall. They love shade and can also take sun too. The other thing you might want to do is for Spring color plant bulbs like tulips, daffodils, hyacinths. Most trees don’t leaf out fully until after the spring bulbs come up so the bulbs can get a nice amount of sun and still give you a gorgeous start to your spring as well. Almost all of the spring bulbs come in a variety of purples with the exception of daffodils, no purples on the daffidils yet unfortunately. Hope this helps you!!
