How long did it take Japan to recover from a WW2, how long will it take us to recover from the shrub?

Recover from WHAT, exactly? The results of his abuse of power? the leftover hatred from the world? the two illegal wars? the economic meltdown?

Tragically – there are some things Bush left behind that America will NEVER recover from. The over-inflated power of the Executive Branch, for one. The anti-Constitutional Patriot Act, for another.

If you’re referring exclusively to the economy, the best minds have been saying for years now that the recovery would take at LEAST a decade. And that’s being optimistic.

However, the reality is that with the obstructionist Republicans doing everything imaginable to stand in the way of any REAL economic progress, it’s going to take longer.
