Here in Nebraska when is the best time to trim my yews (shrubs)?
I want to trim them when it least harms them.
Shrubs are best trimmed when they finish flowering, no matter what part of the world you live in. Yew is one of the more resilient, and can tolerate trimming at almost any time. I know you have a wonderful climate there in Nebraska, here in the UK Yew is generally trimmed in late Autumn (Fall) through to late Spring, when the plant is dormant
