Endangered scrub plants that grow in or near Panama City Beach Florida?
There is a shrub that grows near Panama City Beach that smells so good. I would appreciate anyone’s input. I don’t know if it is endangered or not. Someone at Ace Hardware told me it was Texas Sage but off all the pictures I have looked at it does not appear to be what I am talking about. I even went to Zen Garden in Panama City and the lady there could not identify it. It has flat slim light green fuzz covered leaves and is very frangrant sorta minty/salty sea smell. I have been trying to find out what this is for two weeks. You can smell it in residential sections around Panama City and I found the actual bush growing near a boardwalk which led to the beach near a residential section just outside of Panama City Beach-past the State Park where there have been boardwalks built. Help if you can I sure would appreciate it. B. Daniel
I don’t have im at work so anyone who responds please e-mail me at Parrothead195960@Yahoo.com. Thanks so much. B. Daniel
I work in FL, use to work at a native nursery that specialized in endangered plants. Sounds like a scrub mint. Condrina maybe. Have you seen flowers? If they are purple, it’s a mint. about 2-3 ft tall, bush. IM me and we can figure it out. I know a lot of places you can get something like that without stealing it.
