What’s the name of the bush with small dark green to maroon leaves that’s fairly common in central Florida?
I’m wondering what the name is of the bush that’s pretty commonly seen in the central Florida area (obviously could be found in other areas, too) that has leaves that are green when they’re new and turn maroon as they grow older. The leaves are fairly small and the plant is usually grown as a fairly small shrub.
Also, if you happen to know how far apart to place these plants in order to grow a nice, thick shrub, let me know that too. Any other considerations I should take into account when planting or caring for this plant would be helpful too.
If you have a picture that would help. I am from central florida too so maybe I would know the plant.
