Red Oak Tree Question?
I live in South Texas and this past summer we had a very extreme drought. My Red Oak tree’s leaves turned brown on the edges and to about the center of the leaf. The part of the leaf toward the tree remained green. Is the tree dying do to lack of water? We were on strict watering rules which prevented any watering of grass, plants, shrubs or trees. Is my tree going to die. Right now the leaves are all brown and have not fallen from the tree although we have had a hard freeze (25 degrees). Thanks.
You should talk with the Master Gardeners for your county. They are usually associated with the county agricultural agent.
