What is “pollution control index”?
I am told each plant has certain ability to purify air, in some cases water and noise reduction too. Can some one elaborate on this? Please; and does any one have complete list of trees and its index number?
The index refers to how dirty the air is outside. But I was just reading recently that contrary to what most people think, indoor air is even much worse! The bad stuff comes from chemicals coming off everything manufactured like carpet and furniture, cleaners and products you use inside, and other pollutants. The best thing to do – open your windows occasionally! but plants can also help by absorbing CO2 and some of those pollutants and putting out oxygen. I don’t have a list of what plants are best but if I remember where I saw it, will get back to you.
