How do I cut an overhanging apple tree?
My neighbours apple tree over hangs into the garden and I asked them if it was okay to cut it and they said yes. I asked if they wanted to cut it in case I messed it up but he just said i could. Will I kill the treen by cutting off branches? They’re not big thick branches, they are a bit thick but not trunky or anything! Should I cut the branches down to a certain part or what? I have absolutely no idea – HELP!
In response to some questiions. I HAVE to cute is as it is dangling over our already small garden, really low and taking up the garden AND dropping apples. now I have to go an pick up like 100 rotting apples! The main thing is, it is overhanging and touching the floor in our patio bit where I want to put the bbq – so YES I definitely think cutting it is what I want.
I DONT want to ruin thr tree, I like my neighbours and they didnt mind that I wanted to cut. I dont hate them for having a tree that grows into my garden! It is just a bit inconvenient!
I have a apple tree I cut it every year the more I cut it the more apples I get just cut it were you like you won,t kill it.
